My son's in 6th grade. They let the kids chew gum during "ISAT" testing (Illinois Standardized Achievement Tests). I don't know how it could possibly help. Perhaps w/nervous energy? Am I missing something?

they're hoping the kids will use the gum to develop a system of cheating. one chew for A, two chews for B, etc.
