New Medium Large Presents Video!

Actually, a Medium Large Presents/Kevin Tor co-production. And like all good or even didactic PSAs there is a message, this one about what it really means to be a GUY guy.

Please note it's not safe for work.

Starring Matt Garrett, Chris Sifflet and Kevin Tor with help from Suzanne Higgins.

alright, although it is incredibly true this is what guys do to each other, do they ever stop and ask: why? what good does it do to ridicule each other for having or showing success? i know it's all fun and games, but it's not just a stereotype that men perpetuate themselves, it's a stereotype that is perpetuated throughout all of society (including by women and GLBT's because it sets a standard) because of videos like this. people who don't realize that IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING to make fun of someone thinks that this is how men are SUPPOSED to treat each other. but we smart people know that ridicule is just a ploy to cover-up ones' own self-esteem issues. right? isn't it videos like this that people try to get rid of BECAUSE it perpetuates a stereotype? my question is, if we SAY we don't like social conformity, aren't we stepping on our own feet if we keep conforming to stereotypes, even in innocent videos like this one?

don't get me wrong, i thought the video was hilarious. but i would have been much more impressed if the guys talked each other up and congratulated the guy rather than made asses of themselves. i would have been impressed if they hugged and slapped him on the ass as a congratulatory announcement. i don't know, i'm much more impressed by men who treat each other with respect.

As I watched, I thought "This setup is taking way too long. They should have cut at least half of it and just got to the punchline."

And then it finished.

Tell me you forgot to include the punchline, right? That wasn't it?

If I'd been involved with the creation of this video, I certainly wouldn't be putting it on my website, I'd be destroying all copies and salting the Earth so no crappy videos would grow there again.
