Of All Things, Another 70's Flashback

For me this song will always say "That spring break when I was eight-years-old and my family operated a booth at an adult entertainment convention in Daytona, Florida selling pornographic T-shirts and penis cozies while I wandered the center bored out of my mind, collecting free Playboy cocktail shakers and copies of Oui before I was screamed at by actor Sam Elliott for taking too many mood rings." Enjoy.

this song always reminds me of the jukebox in the bar of motel my grandparents owned in grand junction colorado. we used to play in the bar before it opened, making cokes with three or four cherries and running the jukebox.

Ugh. The first single I ever bought, when I was 11 years old, and I thought it would impress the girl I had a crush on, who had an incredible Dorothy Hamel haircut and sang this song all day in sixth grade. Within three years, she was dating the swim team while I had shaped my head into a noggin and was buying Ramones records. Thank god.

Speaking of memories of my lost virility, what happened with Sir Elton's hair in the interim?
